Ilana Horwitz is a doctoral student in Sociology of Education and Education & Jewish Studies at the Graduate School of Education. Using qualitative and quantitative methods, Ilana examines the intersection of education andreligion. Currently, she is studying how youth and their parents perceive Jewish religious schooling (i.e., Hebrew or Sunday school). Ilana holds an M.A. in International Education Development from Columbia University’s Teachers College, and a B.B.A in Business Administration from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University. Ilana currently has fellowships from the Wexner Foundation and the Institute for Education Sciences.
